Film review: Abandon (2002)

I have a couple of things to note about the movie. One, I had never heard about it before I saw the trailer on a couple of dvds; two, this is unusual given that some of the actors are fairly well known; three, the trailer totally gives away the ending (or twist).

I thought the casting was completely off as well. Okay, not completely. Benjamin Bratt and Charlie Hunnam were good, but why Tony Goldwyn and Mark Feuerstein? They are relatively well known and quite good actors, but why use them at all for such small roles. Why not use their talent?

Still, it was an enjoyable couple of hours, so it gets 3.5.
